Tips for maintaining a gleaming display on your smartphone
Everyday your smartphone screens attract bits of dust, dirt, fingerprints, or other matter, which can leave your phone screen a smudgy dirty mess. We often resort to trying to give them a quick clean with the corner of our shirt or jumper but it just doesn’t seem to do the trick.
So what is the best way to clean and take proper care of your precious smartphone’s screen? The simple answer - use a microfibre cloth! By far the easiest way to clean the screen of a smartphone is with a microfibre cloth which will gently clean your smart phones screen without running the risk of scratching them which can happen when you use paper towel and tissues.
A microfibre cloth will attract any oils or dust present on a smartphone’s screen and completely removes them, as opposed to just wiping them around. To clean the screen, the best thing to do is to turn your phone off so you can see the dirt and grimy finger prints better. Now move the cloth up and down and across your screen until it is clean. If it is super dirt you may need to do one section at a time.
The other important thing is to keep your microfibre cloth clean. Just throw it in the wash and let it dry naturally. We recommend washing any of your cloths with Saponella to extend the life of the cloth. If you have a number of devices you want to clean like computer screens, tablets and even your TV screen it is a good idea to stock up on a few cloths. The Ha-Ra Spectacle Cloth is great for smaller devices like your smart phone or tablet and the Ha-Ra Crystal Cloth is great for larger screens like TV screens. Whatever you do though make sure you avoid cleaning solvents as they can damage the protective coating on your smart devices.
